THE SHADOW Vol. 12
The Magigals Mystery
and
Serpents of Siva

The Dark Avenger explores the worlds of magic and mystery in two of Walter Gibson's most intriguing thrillers. The Shadow is buried alive when he battles Hindu thuggees of an ancient cult as he searches for the strange secrets of the Serpents of Siva (plus, writer/magician Walter Gibson reveals yogi secrets and the levitation illusion). Then, Lamont Cranston visits a magic convention to investigate The Magigals Mystery (and encounters his raconteur in Walter Gibson's only pulp cameo). This classic pulp collection also features George Rozen's incredible pulp covers, all the original interior art by illustrators Edd Cartier and Paul Orban, plus historical articles on Walter Gibson's magical world by Will Murray and Anthony Tollin.

Available late November:

THE SHADOW Vol. 13
Six Men of Evil
and
The Devil Monsters

"The weed of crime bears bitter fruit. Crime does not pay. The Shadow Knows!" The Master of Darkness combats bizarre menaces in two of Walter Gibson's strangest thrillers. A torturous Aztec transformation gives "Six Men of Evil" an unexpected advantage in their criminal pursuits.

Then, Lamont Cranston and Margo Lane encounter their most infamous foe -- Monstodamous, master of menace -- in "The Devil Monsters." This classic pulp collection also showcases George Rozen's breathtaking pulp cover, all the original interior art by illustrators Tom Lovell and Paul Orban, historical commentary by Will Murray and an article on the Golden Age Shadow Comics by Anthony Tollin.

Available late December:

THE SHADOW Vol. 14
The Grove of Doom
and
The Masked Lady

The Knight of Darkness returns in two of Walter Gibson's personal favorites. To solve the mystery of Chinatown smuggling, feuding families and a series of strange disappearances, The Shadow must enter "The Grove of Doom," where those who enter never return. Then,  Lamont Cranston and Inspector Cardona seek the truth behind a series of murders perpetrated by "The Masked Lady." This classic pulp collection showcases one of George Rozen's greatest pulp covers (reproduced directly from the original art), restores more than 13,000 words deleted from previous reprintings of "The Grove of Doom," and includes all the original interior art by illustrators Tom Lovell and Edd Cartier, and new commentary by popular culture historian Will Murray.

Available in late January 2008:

THE SHADOW Vol. 15
The Shadow Unmasks
and
The Yellow Band

Who knows what secrets lurk in The Shadow's mysterious past? The Dark Avenger's enigmatic origins are revealed in the first-ever reprint of one of the rarest (and most expensive) Shadow pulps. In The Shadow Unmasks, the real Lamont Cranston's whereabouts become front-page news, and the Dark Avenger is forced to resurrect his long-buried true identity of Kent Allard, missing aviator and former spy.

Then, while investigating a Miami crime ring, Kent Allard is framed by The Yellow Band and must revert to his Lamont Cranston alter ego to clear his name, This collector's item special showcases George Rozen's spectacular pulp covers and all the original interior art by pulp-legends Edd Cartier and Tom Lovell. BONUS: Walter Gibson and Will Murray reveal behind-the-scenes revelations about The Shadow's origins, while Anthony Tollin examines the bizarre saga of Colonel P. H. Fawcett, the legendary explorer whose real-life exploits inspired Kent Allard's creation.
